This checklist will take you from getting your new hire paperwork done to being ready to close deals with homeowners. Follow through on each step. Inform your Team Leader, Dale Guiducci, or Tom Schneider of any complications or questions that you have. We are like your Pit Crew — our job is to get you ready to perform at a high level!

Pit Stop 1 Start Your Engines — New Hire Paperwork Pending ▼
Step 1 — Submit Your Contact Information
Submit your contact information to dguiducci@toptiersolarsolutions.com if you haven't already done so. Include:
  • Name
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Address
Step 2 — New Hire Paperwork Email
Once you submit your contact information you will receive an email: "Please Complete New Hire Paperwork". This email should arrive within 24 hours. If it does not, contact:

Step 3 — Paychex Flex (Commission Payments)
The next email you'll receive will be to set up your banking information to receive commissions — "Welcome! Time to finish your onboarding."
Step 4 — Your Top Tier Email Address
Once your New Hire Paperwork is complete you will receive an email: "Welcome to Top Tier Solar Solutions! Your New Company Email Credentials." Follow the instructions in this email to set up your Top Tier Solar Solutions email address.

While you are waiting for your first onboarding email from Top Tier, go to the Top Tier Google Drive Training Folder. Save this link on your desktop or another easily accessible place — you will use it frequently. Inside you'll find:
  • Proposal / Contract examples
  • OpenSolar training videos
  • Lender information
  • Site Survey Photo Guide
  • Battery Pricing Sheet
  • Welcome Call Script
Note on Special Battery Pricing (Tesla, Franklin): Subtract $2,000 from the price on the Pricing Sheet for Self Consumption vs Back Up. Back Up is always priced higher.
OpenSolar — Your Proposal Platform
Once you set up your Top Tier email account, you will receive an invitation to that account: "Invitation to join Top Tier Solar Solutions on OpenSolar."
Already have an OpenSolar account from another EPC? You may need to enter your Top Tier email address as the username and click "Forgot Password." You'll receive a password reset email to your Top Tier email. Create a new password and log in.

Once logged in, choose United States from the drop-down menu and watch the 2:31 intro video. Then watch the OpenSolar training videos in the Google Drive folder and practice with a "dummy" proposal.

Top Tier Tools is a very helpful proposal tool. Navigate to the state and utility company, enter the homeowner's existing solar system information, and it will create a proposal and talking points for you.
